Some say it's a hoe others say it's a scraper the RR used. What is it and it's worth

this site has a Hoe that looks like yours.

It's a hoe head.

In the book "Civil War Artifacts" by Howard R. Crouch, On page 59, their is a 12" wide hoe head that looks very much like it. The book states that these are common Civil War camp finds and can be found in various sizes.

What is the width of yours?

Are you in an area where Civil War artifacts could be found?

A plain ordinary hoe minus the handle. Unless it is marked CS or US
or with some other identifiable mark I dont imagine it will be worth much. The ones I find that the eye is still solid in I put a new handle in it and use 'em. Neat find...d2
