I found this at an old football/baseball field. The quarter is for size reference.

Could be park of a sprinkler. Maybe something that radiates the water in a particular pattern...

Good guess. I was thinking maybe some kind of marker to line out a field or something.

What is it made out of? Almost looks like zinc the way it is dissolving.

I can't tell. It sure has gotten my curiosity up.

Part of one of them Garden Weasel things, or an edger...
That is my guess and I'm stickin' to it...lol

HH,

An older version of this?

After closer looking and a LOT of mental imagery, I think it was an edger blade...The top looks like gears or a cog from a wheel rolled along a solid surface would turn the edger blade.

HH,

I believe it to be the bottom part of a seed spreader or fertilizer spreader. The blade like parts spread the seed that the small part agitated out of a hopper. The device was powered by the wheels turning. Idigid
