What is HOT technology?

I hear my Vaquero is HOT but outside of the sexy purple I wasn't sure what that meant. What's the benefit of this new tech?

The Cibola, Vaquero and Tejon.

You can pretty much tell as they are the ones with the wacky colors...lol
