WHAT IS BEST XTERRA 70 OR ID ED

I AM THINKING OF BUYING A ANOTHER DETECTOR I'M DOWN TO XTERRA 70 OR ID EDGE. I KNOW I CAN COUNT ON YOU FOR WHICH IS BETTER FOR LOUISIANA METAL DETECTING.

The XT70 gets great depth and target separation. I dug a sleigh bell and a nail in the same hole yesterday on a field, the XT sounded off on both targets at around 8". I am really impressed with it and have only used the 7.5 Khz 10.5" DD coil. It also finds some of the smallest targets, I will not use the 18.75 Khz coil on a field. A few negative things about the XT70, only has 4 coils I believe, there is not a small coil or a larger coil than the 10.5". It will do great with a small coil in trashy areas, when they make one! The balance stand is too small and it falls over easily when I sit it down. Hope that helps a little. HH, Mike

I like the edge up here in michigan, it works well in any soil i've tryed it in from black sands on the beach to rich dark farm fields,in the parks and schools and also in the water as a wadeing detector it picks up small
metal at very good depth and its easy to gb takes about two seconds it has 3 pre set programs and a custom program so you can set it and forget it and its very lite weight so you can swing it all day
