What is a Nitro ring?

Oahu_Tom

New member
As a new forum member (and MDer) I've seen the term "Nitro" several times and would appreciate anyone telling me what it is...

Thanks,
Tom

Nitro in this fourm means a heart stopper as in when you find it your heart starts to beat faster and your think your going to have a heart attack
SO you take nitroglycerin to ease the heart attack hence the name nitro BUT IT TURNS OUT TO BE A JUNKER

Years ago I dug up a man's diamond solitaire in a large 14K setting and danced my way through the waist deep water to show it to a friend two dozen yards away!

I had found the "find of finds" (I thought) because the stone was most of two carats and a real beauty!!

Just as I handed it to my friend I saw it!!

The "stone" had scratches on the face and tiny chips along the normally sharp edges.

A jeweler friend confirmed it was glass and not even a good grade of glass!!

(He also told me that a diamond can get scarred by rough use as he had done doing gardening while wearing a nice stone!)

The setting was real though, so I guess that makes it a "near nitro"!!
