I bought an Olympus D-560 and cant seem to get good closeups with it even though it has a macro mode. the camera is 3.2 megapixels. it could just be me, never had experience with these digitals.
I have some time before I can take it back so I am looking for some input. would like to take some good quality pics of coins and rings and such. this camera shoots great people shots, but the closeups arent coming out well.
thank you,
Neil

Not the Olympus DSL forum but just the Olympus forum... They help me a lot on different things...
Not sure about your camera but my Olympus c2500L wouldn't let you use macro if you zoomed in at all. That might be the only problem you have. Read the manual and see how close you can get the lens to it. RM got me to us afternoon light outside and that kills...
I'm not very happy with my C5050 right now but I know for a fact I've never read my manual even once about macro's. I will explore that forum very soon to find out the technique. They don't have it if it's a problem. Most of the time it's just an ID 10 T error. (ID10T). Very active forum and someone will know...
Let us know what they come up with if the zoom isn't the problem... Guvner..

thanks for the info and link Guvner. I got a little better at shots close up, but looking for better. Since this is my first digital I am hesitant to jump to another one, make maybe the same mistakes. Hopefully the forum can help.
