What is a good detector for beach and water???

New member
Looking for a good beach and water detector. I have a DFX but I am always afraid I might get the electronics wet. Would like to know what kind you guys use.

If you like the DFX go with the BeachHunterID its a waterproof version of the DFX without the screen of course :)

Are you wading or diving? The BHID will go to 25' deep probably plenty and is a good machine.

Salf or fresh water, and your price range.

Salt or fresh water??

Fisher CZ-21
Fisher Aquanat 1280X
Teroro Tigershark
Detector Pro Diver
Detector Pro Wader
Garrett Infinium PI machine Salt water only
Minelab Excabular
Whites PI Pro PI machine Salt water only
JW Fisher Pulse 8X PI machine Salt water only

All great machines. Pick one and learn it!!!!! (Check the prices first!!!!)

I was told that the BeachHunterID doesn't work well on the west coast. Does anyone know anything about that????

A friend told me that the software in the BeachHunter is different than the DFX. I would love to get one because I have a DFX, but I don't want to get something that doesn't work. Is there anyone out there who is using the BeachHunter ID on the west coast. If so I would like some feed back on how it works.
