What I like about MD'ing is taking time to smell the roses.

I didn't have much time, but I tried to stop and enjoy the beauty that is around me. I MD'ed an old school for an hour. I would bet you I wasn't the first person to detect it. I only found two wheat's and some clad. On the way there I saw this doe in the middle of the road. Well she is off to the left of the road. I don't have a telephoto on my camera. Can you see her?

This was the road looking toward the school. The school was around the next turn.

It was a beautiful day for MD'ing.

The road home.

The wheat's weren't worth looking at. I have gotten over 170 wheat's this year. My neighborhood looked pretty as I drove into the drive.

We don't have the nice colors in Iowa yet but it is coming ,Great pictures and what a great drive and then you get to detect, Sweet:super:.

I am sure you don't miss the Florida weather (not for another month or so anyway)

I see your just as good with a camera as with a detector.
I would have taken some pics of our leave, but there all laying on the ground.

Happy Hunting John

I have been through one winter in WV. already. I think it is refreshing. There was no amount of cold that stopped me. Just frozen ground and there wasn't that much of that.

MD'ing is great here. I have seen only three people MD'ing in 1 1/2 years. No mosquitoes, or midgets crawling all over me around Lk. Monroe. I have been picking apples, grapes, pears and chestnuts while MD'ing. Enjoying the mountains and the cool air. I'm 10 miles from a CW. encampment and I'm on 7- 10 at work.:rage:

Looks great John. Have you veered into Fisher Territory?

I have an F-70 and love it. It is so light. You know the other detector I was looking at. The things we talked about that the other detector didn't have. This one has it. The F-70 makes me concentrate more on it's response to the targets. Man does this detector goes deep and I think its target separation is more advanced than my ability to understand it.

Bad thing is I can't get next to playground equipment like my other detector. It is too sensitive and powerful for that. That's OK. that is what I use the other detector for. One other bad point; ever dig trash at 14 "?

F-70, huh? I havent given much thought to the new Fishers, since Fisher was bought out, went offshore (or whatever happened to them). I did try an F-75 once and couldnt hardly stand that coil stuck out there like a big goofy foot. It also struck me as kinda flimsy and not at all rugged.
On the other hand, I have always liked the "black box" Fishers: 1266-X, the CZ series and so on. I would like to snag a 1236-X2 for this seasons acquisition, in fact.
But, you know I respect your opinion as much as anyone's, so maybe I'll have a gander at the F-70.

Good to see you still on the trail.
