What I found in July

The month of July I used my COMPADRE 85% of the time. The rest was with my Tiger Shark in the water. Coins = $14.72 in clad... A lot of kids jewelry and a few gold rings. With a bucket of other mater (junk). For the new ones out there, You will find a lot of trash. You will dig the trash to find some good items. Don't think that you will buy a detector that only finds coins or gold rings. It just wont happen. Get out , have fun and enjoy your hobby.... KEN

Great haul Ken. I had to get a detecting permit for our county parks. The lady who made out the permit was really interested in metal detecting as was one of the other office girls. They asked a ton of questions and I gave them my phone number in case they decided to buy a detector and wanted advice. Anyway, one of the girls said it sounds like metal detecting was just like gambling only cheaper and more fun. She said you have a fixed cost up front and you never know what you are gonna find or when you are gonna hit the jackpot. Come to think about it- she's right.

ken I could not agree with you more, good diggings

Great haul! Your junk pile is just as impressive as your clad pile.
I like to show the new people that it is not all gold and coins. It is a hobbie. Take the good with the bad... KEN

Thanks for looking you all. It is a hobby that I know we all enjoy. I like to show the junk too. Let the new hunters know that junk is part of the fun. HA HA. ... KEN

Nice going! I try to always show my trash pile in my pictures with my finds. If you're not digging trash you're leaving some good stuff behind.

well done....!!!!!! This forum and posts of finds is always inspiring. Speaking of inspiring, after many turndowns lately I finally scored another private place to hunt tonight. We'll see what turns up after I drag the coil across.......

keep em coming.........

fish-eye, in order to photo all the junk I often recover. I will say I used to recover more junk when I was younger and healthier and hit more sites were I removed the garbage.

I counted up my totals when July ended and was pleased enough, considering I have been on the mend from mid-December surgery and didn't get the doctor's okay to go play until March. Now I need to get out of the big city and go find more older sites for some variety in life. I can't hunt as long and as hard as I used to, but the time spent is sure enjoyable, none-the-less.

I ended July with 2-$1 coins, 0-50
