What I did this past weekend...

My father came down this weekend to participate in a car show at my sons high school. They had some pretty fantastic cars. Thought I'd post a photo of my dad's pickup, and another car that I liked.

ps. Notice what make they are Mike?

and I have to admit, the best pickup of the show! A beautiful, tricked out 56 F-100. Wish I had the money and talent to build a ride like this!!!

...only it's a '91 model. :spin:

My daughters school had a car show too on Saturday, but I missed it because I was camping.

I just remembered Mike in MI talkin smack a few months back with Greg about Ford and Nissan. I guess I should have been a little more specific. You are right about the '63 Imp. My dads pickup is a 56 with a 400 sb in it.

due to the short term attention span of our youth the next 'music' we hear on the radio are actually small advertizing clips (jingles) like the one you mentioned - Oscar Mayers 'Oh I wish I were an Oscar Mayer Hot Dog that is truly what I want to be', 'In the Valley of the Jolly Green Giant', 'Plop plop fizz fizz - oh what a relief it is',etc.

the doctors prescribe something for heart burn which costs a fortune, so the pharmacists and doctors...who have stock in meds...can make more money!

There used to be a lot of cute jingles! The one I liked but don't see now is the one with the baby in the womb advertising Chillies restaurant, I think, as he says it's hot down there and asks his mom if she's been eating those hot chilli peppers again and if she keeps on eating them, he just might stay down there until he's ten and holds up two or three fingers! I said that proves that it's a baby and not a blob of tissue! Santa sliding down the snow on a Norelco Shaver is still around at Christmas time and the Polar bears drinking Coca Cola is cute, especially the baby!

WEll, ah memories like I said! :D

God Bless!
Betty
