What headphones are other coin shooters using? I need to upgrade my headphones as they hurt my ears after a long day of hunting. Suggestions and recommendations?
I'm looking for comfort as well as performance. XMAS is coming and I my wife is wanting to know what to buy me... <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)"> <img src="/metal/html/biggrin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":D">

Can't go wrong with Killer B's. The Wasp model, with its peak limiter is super.
Check with Brian of Southern Treasures. They have a Killer B's sale going.

calrad same set for 10 years. There are probably better ones out there but i've no expierience with others.

I always have liked Detector Pros ($140-Black Widows and Jimmy Sierras Blue ($100) headphones-----DeathWind1

Detector Pro gets my vote. They have the noise limiting feature and volume control.
I have worn them all day on the beach and have not had any problems. The foam cups are large enough to fit around my ears so there are no pressure points on my ears. That really bugs me. This is the first pair of earphones that has the foam cups large enough for me to wear comfortably for hours at a time.

I find the ones that are the most comforable, nice sounding on my wife MXT are the one made by the company that is sponsoring this fourm, the Sunray Headphones. These have the limiter, the dual volume control, the stereo mono switch so they will work on all detectors and are very comfortable for us that like to detect all day. Even us with glasses dont have sore ears at the end of the day.
Now for volume if you are hard of hearing I find the Timberwolfs have slightly better volume. The Gray Ghost and Killer Bees are good too, but I prefere the Sunrays myself for the comfort.

When I was looking to get some new headphones, I had to combine quality with an eye on my pocketbook. I chose the Detectorpro Jolly Rogers, which I really like. You get Detectorpro quality of construction and sound and won't pay a fortune. And they're really comfortable to boot! I like them so much, I've ordered some for my son for Christmas.

I called Brian at Southern Treasures (www.southern-treasures.com) and ordered a set of Ultimate Gray Ghosts. Real nice guy - I recommend him.
