What headphones do you suggest around $20 for Compadre?

I've been combing the electronic stores and big box stores for simple older walkman type headphones with volume adjustment, but no luck. All the headphones now are fashionable designer/rapper like for computers and me phones etc. None have manual volume adjustment, unless you want to pay well over $100. The speaker on my Compadre is too loud and screams out...Look at me! while detecting. So I need to get some simple volume adjustable but not costly headphones. Any suggestions?

I found a nice pair at Goodwill and have seen a few others, just disenfect them and no worries :)

Koss makes an inline volume control for headphones that isn't too expensive. Sorry I don't have the model number.
I first saw someone mention it on this forum. Amazon has them. I found a nice pair of Sony headphones at Ross for
About $15.00 that will hold me over until I can upgrade. Big Lots, Marshall's etc often have tons. Good luck.

The 'Koss KTXPRO1 Titanium Portable Headphones with Volume Control' for around 15 bucks shipped work great for Summertime use. Once you get the volume set to where you want it, put tape around the volume control side so it doesn't move. I wear mine just in front of ear canal, so I can hear what's going on around me. I use a Velcro tie to secure the cord right below the handle grip so it will be about the right length and out of the way. The headband can be worn under a cap so it won't move around as much. For full ear cover headphones the Calrad headphones work surprisingly well for the money.

Good luck

I like these for my Golden:

I use Garrett Treasure Sound headphones and like them for their lightweight and they don't crush my ears, but don't have volume control.

I just got a set of the Treasure Wise Headphones, nice coiled cord, adjustable volume control on both ears for $29.95 plus shipping.Very nice headphones for the price.
