What headphones are the best for AT PRO

Hi, I'm looking for some advice on headphones.

I have the stock set, but they are starting to act up.

Does anyone know what headset is high end and works well with the AT PRO?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike

My vote is for the Gray Ghost Amphibians, they work with the Infinium, ATPro, ATX, ATGold. I have a set on both my ATX and ATPro. When I use the Infinium, I switch with one of the other detectors. Maybe Santa will bring me a third set so there will be less swapping.
The original land headphones that came with the ATPro are not bad, just not as good as the Amphibians IMHO.

I suspect any of the higher quality ones will work well. I use Grey Ghost and Black Widow and both will bring out those deep ever so faint whispers. HH jim tn

I much prefer the Gray Ghost Amphibians to the Garrett land phones on my AT Pro and uses them all the time now. They are a comfortable fit, provide plenty of volume, clear tones, and I really like the longer cord. At first I was reluctant to buy them due to the high price but I've gotten over that hurdle and I'm glad I purchased them. I would surely recommend them but consider that I also have no experience with any other brand/models as a comparison. I'm sure there are other good choices unless you're planning on water hunting.

They are tight on my head, no volume control, fairly short cable and not quite the sound of after market headsets.
They do work and I did use them for several years on my Infinium, when my third set blue set broke and I decided to try the Amphibians.
I have no plans on going back.

I'm on my second pair of blues...the second pair did come with a much longer wire...I wear a stocking hat even in the summer on account of what WW said about them being tight, every so often a guy has to take them off to let off the pressure...they are loud, (but I'm nearly deaf so no big deal) probably because they might be worn over a neoprene snorklers head cover or something...I figure I'll come up with a wish list over the Winter and pop for those GG's eventually..all this said, they do work and they hit gold, even small gold, and chains, so I have confidence in them and continue to hunt and not worry about it....If they ever take a dump, I'll pop for those GG's on account of all the great reviews they get..

Hey frozen I used the stock in the woods ,I liked the volume control , I was saving the blues for the water , did not want to chance breaking them . I recently saw a video post comparing the two sets ( air test ) , the blues won by 1 1/2 inches . I did the air test using a silver quarter with my wife wearing the head set and not looking at me , the blues won by at least a inch. We did not count a faint beep or check numbers. Has me thinking I may have passed over some good targets. Also I am going to do some winter hunts , so I talked to Garrett about batteries and he said lithium were ok to use , I tested again with them and got a gain of almost 1/2 inch , I did not air test with the stock and lithium . I'm only using the lithium because they handle the cold and were recommended. The first set of batteries had about 3 hrs on them and showed full bars . I'm going to keep using the blues and stick with them until I see some test proving others are better. I have seen post on here saying good and bad about GG and other headphones and find it kind of strange that no one , not even manufactures are posting test ? Air test like mine or other posters have so many variables that they cannot be relied on , if anyone has seen tests they should help us out and post them please ! For now I'll stick with my own test , Muds opinion and success , as a guide .
