what Headphones are best for

hello guys what Headphones are the best for the Minelab Explorer and where can i find them

I have the same question. I am leaning towards the Timberwolf LOBOs or the Gray Ghost Deep Woods. Am I leaning the right way?
Thanks for any help!

yes your leaning the right way <IMG SRC="/forums/images/smile.gif" BORDER=0 ALT=":)"> all the gray ghosts are good as are the timberwolfs...

Maybe I'm wrong but with the gain on the explorer up around 6 or 7 the weaker signals get amplifed so unless it is a real deep coin or ring the tone is pretty stong.
Now, with that in mind and the fact that normal headphones make my head sweat like crazy here in the Florida heat, I picked up a pair of earbuds that have a piece that fits over the ear so the earbuds just rest in your ear canal and aren't painful after some time like most. They even have a volume control. I have not had any trouble with outside noise being a problem except surf noise when I was right at the waters edge on the beach. Makes detecting in warm climates much much more comfortable.

Don't forget to get the SunRay detector stand/headphone jack adapter. The Gray Ghosts and the Timberwolfs both have a 1/4" jack and will not fit in the Explorer without an adapter.

You can get the Gray ghosts NDT's and maybe even some other models with the 1/8th inch jack, although I would recommend the SR adapter/stand and use the 1/4 inch jacks

i will have my new XS in a week and i did get the SR adapter stand ]
what shood i get the sunray x8 or the pin pointing probe?????

I would go with the pinpoint probe first. I don't see how guys can hunt without one!
I use a Merlin and like it, but its a bit short.
The Vibraprobe is nice, but lacks the audio response which I have grown used to.
