My ohone won't let me upload it sigh....

Here is the picture I wanted to post earlier.

here is it upright. sorry ha

I see STURDY on the top line. Oh, I see that you already saw that part.

My guess is the next word is FLIT. the F is fancy and the top of it covers most of the word. STURDY FLIT hand sprayer? On THIS PAGE on the upper left of the page when it loads is an add for FLIT products and it shows a STURDY FLIT HAND SPRAYER. I don't see how this item could be part of the sprayer but the company has many items, maybe it matches something else they sell. The STURDY part is not part if the NAME as much as a description like HEAVY or RELIABLE.

It could also say STURDY FUT.
Health-tut,- Sturdy-fut and Hardy-flit shoes, scientifically constructed to allow perfect freedom to growing feet.
SOURCE....scroll down to read the contents of the newspaper from 1930. Use the FIND feature of your browser(Ctrl+F) to find the word STURDY.

What it sort of looks like, and it sounds stupid, I don't know why it would have a name like this, but...
Sturdy rut bicycle club

The 2nd word should be capitalized which it's not if it's an r. There is an obvious line above the 2nd word which I think is part of the first letter, much like the first word has extended lines from both the letters t and y. I think the 2nd word begins with F but it kind of looks like a lowercase r with another line above it extending over most of the word. There are at least two, maybe three companies that could have used "Sturdy Fut".
Ages 14 to 18 STURDY-FUT STRAPS $395 QUALITY FOOTWEAR FOR CHILDREN SUDGET PRICED (AGE GROUP-- 3 TO 12) BLACK HAWK POSTURE-PRIDE SHOES Here are correctly built shoes of quality materials
1952 Newspaper The price is almost certainly $3.95, google paraphrased the original text and makes plenty of errors including mistaking SUDGET for BUDGET.

Yea Aaron, I almost edited to say that it does look like an F. Then as I looked at it I thought maybe its just an extention of the tail of the Y. The top of the T is quite exaggerated, so I thought 'maybe'. It really does look like an F though.
But honestly I don't have a clue, it was just my 2 wheat cents worth.

I just looked and I can see the word bicycle so I think your right. I also googled sturdy club and there is a sturdy girl bicycle club. Boom

Have you considered RISKING cleaning it further? It looks to me like some foreign material may still be present and possibly hiding some of the objects features?? I assume it's not ferrous?

I've personally had excellent results soaking some very crusty penny's in warmed 3% Hydrogen Peroxide for a few minutes. And afterwards buffing them with a small hand held Brass Wire brush.

Almost always after the warm HP soaking and the penny is thoroughly dried it will look very dull in appearance and almost featureless, but as stated above after a good buffing with a small hand held brass wire brush the previously un-recognizable features of the penny will become recognizable again. That's assuming the features suspected of being hidden by the crusty's were still there in the first place.

I don't suggest this approach on any penny's of value or any with that beautiful green patina that looks so sweet, as I believe it would remove the patina, doing much more harm than good.

Just a thought. Good luck and HH

PS: Almost forgot the wire brass brush I use is a NAPA auto parts brush "MACK 468-B"

I got it wet sometimes things show up better and I think the second word says "but" now sturdy but bicycle club sounds better then "rut" "fut"
