What does the " + " symbol in the display mean?

Occasionally I'll get a plus symbol " + " without any numbers, as a target identification on my display. Have any of you had that reading also and what does it mean? I only hunt in the discrimination mode, with the discrimination usually set at 6.

Don't recall seeing a plus except in some of the menu adjustments on All Metal mode (i.e. Threshold or Tone can be -9 to +9). No target in pinpoint is double dashes (" - - "). But I don't remember a "+" by itself.
