I am getting a mark 1 built for me by Keith in Texas I also use a 6000Xl and the fisher 70 PRO. I think I have trash covered depth covered, gold rings covered, but what about iron and trash? I have small coils for all detectors but have read a lot about the compass detectors and iron.

I have seen a coin scanner pro for sale and keith has a 77b for sale.
On the whites I have one tone but a meter to tell me what what the is telling me and the fisher I have a lot of coins in the hight tone and I have a relic tone for older coins and coins in their sides.

I have read a lot about some of the compass line but I'm interested in you use of their detectors. I think the coin scanner 8 inch coil is $300.00.:nopity:

I've been using the Whites 6000 series for my main detectors for about 20 years. I haven't found a detector yet that has a more accurate TID. If you go past the presets learn how to tweek the settings and also learn what the audio and meter are telling you on deep targets it will go as deep as any machine out there. To me it's the perfect detector. My second favorite is my Compass Gold Scanner Pro. Same great analog TID but is one of the best machines made for hunting iron infested areas. This baby will pull out silver in, under and right next to rusty nails, bolts, hindges etc. My XL Pro with a 6 inch coil is no slouch either in iron but the Compass does a bit better when it comes to iron masking. The higher freq. does better on lower conductive targets like gold but the XL Pro goes deeper on old silver. Both do well on the beach as well as my mineralized hot rock infested ground so I think I have the bases covered with these 2 great detectors.

A Big Bud Select 220D now for about 13 years. I still like it (target id, depth, blanker, etc) however there's much better now, I'm sure.
