Garrett Master Hunter CD plus,How is it on depth.Would you say the depth would be the same as the ads 7????I came by one foe 150.In top shape ,Looks like it was never used....THANKS Greg...

Sorry ...Garrett Master Hunter CX Plus.....

I never checked a CX Plus against an ADS 7, but the CX II and Grandmaster models with crossfire coils were almost two inches deeper in disc mode in my mild ground than my ADS 7 with the 7.5 inch Deepseeker coil. However, with the 12 inch coil on the ADS 7 and the 12.5 coil on the CX II the ADS was as deep as the CX II when using both of them in all metal mode . I still have and use, the ADS 7 I bought in January of 1988, and it still works as well as when it was new.

I had a CX Plus for years and loved it. In all metal it's really deep, and the two knob disc is hard to beat. Kind of an analog, digital type machine. Contact Garrett and get the arm cuff for about $25. Makes the detector a whole lot easier to use.
