I always seem to not dig anything say below 35 it always turns out to be nasty iron unless mixed in with a zippy tone or a higher VDI shows up. But for you real hard core CW hunters do you find anything in the lower VDI?

I tend to ignore anything under 40,i have yet to find anything of interest,40-43 usually hot rock, nicest i like to see is 60-66 region ;) coins usually.

Gaz ;)

no CW relics here and don't think i have dug anything under 40 either , interesting though that the hot rocks have same numbers as the guys finding nuggets, just proves getting a lead into hot ground is important will file that away for latter use. :clapping:

OK, I am pretty much digging 58s and over 70s solid hits. Am I walking away from too much opportunity?

You guys need to be digging 40's and up !

Good Question Low Boy,
Brings to mind another question are the Gb G2 owners experiencing any wraparound targets? Maybe GB G2 haven't been out there long enough to really determine this but if we don't dig allot of those targets we will never know!!!
Be Well

Pretty much everything I've dug in the 40s has been foil and can slaw has registered from there on into the 90s. Course ya gotta dig. Long pinpoint hold keys non-round coin size target. Crossing signals with 20 or larger bounce comes up 'slaw. Hard 58 is tab or nickel. I am a month and 6 or 7 batteries into this bug and I can see I still have a lot to learn!

Hey Lawrenzo- How ya doin, man? Good to see ya posting.

can you explaine what you mean by wrap around ??

For me when I relic hunt I will dig it all but so far I can't think of any targets that have been good ones below 35..If I were CW hunting I may having to dig it all.

The gold bug is a great detector and hits on just about everything it is the best detector out there for my type of hunting. It is just a bit too much for parks and schools with all of the trash.

yes very sensitive and a swing in can slaw and foil infected ground can be overwhelming but i think i have trained my brain only to hear nice smooth round signals and most of the time coins but those old bottle tops still get me sometimes :rage:

Almost all of the gold nuggets that I have found have been in the 40 ies, the only wrap around I have encountered has been rusty iron and I don't dig those signals when looking for gold.
