What do you do with your finds?

Do you save them forever?
Do you sell the Silver ones for cash?
Do you put em in protective things
and keep them?

Just curious what everyone does'

Thank
Pete

I clean mine to my level of satisfaction then put then in Airtite Coin vaults. I put the coin vaults in a huge cigar box my uncle gave me. On rainy days or during the winter I get the cigar box out and go through the coins and try to remember where I found them. I have a great magnifying glass that really helps bring out the fine details of coins. I don't think I could ever get rid of my finds, but I suppose if I fell on hard times I might have to sell some.

I used to save them. In fact earlier this year I posted a pic of my display case just before I tore it down. I realized no one in my family really had an interest in them..

In fact my "Better Half" thinks were all nuts .......... I kept the Silver and Gold and will soon be selling what I have...

Great idea for those rainy days, yes...
What type of magnifier you using?

Pete

It's actually one I got at Jo Ann fabrics. I guess it's used for sewing? It's about 5 inches across, but has a smaller, more powerful lens mounted in the lower half. That smaller lens really brings out the magnification level. I think it was maybe $20, but I used their 50% off coupon and got it for $10 plus tax.

Very good, I'll check out some fabric stores.
I have one of those shop ones, round with a circular light around the
inside. I guess it's good but not sure about the power of it...

If I can identify and owner I will return an item to them or if an item is historically related to where I am hunting I will give it to the owner. Otherwise all my silver coins are placed in 2x2 holders with date and location found and I have a coin box to keep them in. Rings and such go in a plastic tackle box so they are easily accessible. I did give a lead cowboy to the owner of a home because it was his as a child.

I have yet to sell anything. I have given away some things is someone shows a special interest.

I think it depends on circumstances.
