What do U do with found rings and jewelry?

I have been detecting for several years with great finds.I find a lot of rings in the water. Most are marked on the inside with the 12 or 24 k and some of the rings are real diamonds. The problem I am having is my drawer is getting full of these rings and I would like to cash in on them. Jewelers only will take them if I upgrade to a bigger ring. Pawn shops will not give you half of what they are worth.

What do you do with this type of find? I would like to get cash for them so I can buy another detector.
Thanks for you input.

Possibly melt the gold down together, but remove stones first. Hope this helps, ask on the beach and water forum.
