What Digger Are You Using? (Must Go Deeper)

I'm getting a bit sick of digging super deep holes with this digging tool I've used for years with numerous machines. With the added depth I'm getting with the Sovereign and SEF I'm seriously looking to upgrade diggers. I forget the name of the one I'm using but it's probably the most popular in detecting circles. It's got a black handle and a stainless steel blade of about 7.25" long. I think blade and handle is 11" in total, but I know the blade is just over 7". Since I'm finding myself digging tons of targets in the 8 to 11" range, I need something longer to make that more quick and easy. I don't want to use any form of military shovel or mini spade for keeping good relations with the general public (just looks to intimidating), so I'm wondering if anybody uses a good digger with say a bit longer blad on it and perhaps a total length with handle of say 12 or 13"?

Take a look at the Predator tool line .....The Raptor is pretty heavy duty, but then again the enitre line is ....Jim

Well since I got my Sovereign I had to get a backhoe:blink: But really I have a USMC Kabar, Lesche digger/cutter, a SS trowel from Lowe's that I beef up the handle and the Gorge folding shovel. Some how or the another I will get the target out of the ground:thumbup:

I have several of the Predator tools and I like the model 58 Little Eagle, it cuts good plugs and is better at going deeper than a trowel or knife type digger and i don't think it is as intimidating as a knife or some trowels that look like a big knife. The Raptor digger does good in softer or sandy type dirt but is not to good in hard ground. For out in the woods relic hunting their folding shovel is hard to beat.
