What Detectors Would You Most Like To See Soon?

I am always wishing for something new in detectors. Now, when I say that I mean within the realm of reason, not wish upon a star stuff.

Like a lot of people I would like to see Fisher move the analog CZ platform to digital, the key thing being dual frequency and much lighter. All kinds of possibilities there. I really like the CZ platform but by todays standards the control box is huge.

I probably am dreaming a bit on this one but it is possible - Minelab should cram a GPX 5000 into a CTX 3030 configuration.

From Garrett I would like an Infinium that is actually stable in salt water OR from White's a waterproof TDI.

Seems like Christmas is getting awfully close with nothing new (that I want anyway) so maybe I will have to wait until spring.

I would like to see all the extra features that have nothing to do with actual performance, eliminated on the CTX so that the rest of us could afford one too.

My wish list is very simple!----They can leave everything the same on the great Etrac, don't have to change a thing----EXCEPT----lighten that mamma up & give us a better balance on that wonderful detector--PLEASE MINELAB!----------Del

The non performance features of the CTX adds very little to the actual cost of manufacturing, I would be surprised if it is over $10. The bulk of new technology retail prices is to recoup the design, development and manufacturing expenses.

Whites Waterproof 10us TDI Pi with open 10" center mount single coil, get rid of the dual coil. The underwater TDI version is coming but get rid of the dual coil.

Garrett should have another Infinium in the works, Will have some Pi technology from the Garrett Pi mine detector such as single tone. I'm hoping they increase sensitivity to smaller targets, a little would be great,

Digital CZ replacement, as the current cz models are costly to manufacture. Multi -freq model with a twist..what ever that means... No timetable rumors. Thats all I heard.

That rumor has been floating around for some time--hope there is something to it!-----In fact, I (and others) were hoping for a FTP release for the holidays.----Obviously, that isn't going to happen now.----Maybe something for the Spring market??

Dave J has said, "First Texas always has new products under development and the internet always has new rumors under development."

I don't believe any rumors I have seen and won't believe any new machines are going to be released until an official Fisher or Teknetics spokesperson announces it.

I know Minelab is discontinuing the Sov GT but I would love to see Minelab come out with a lightweight version of the Sov GT. Obviously it would still be multi-frequency / multi-tone - numerical VDI "180 meter style" in a light weight package (like the X-terra series ) and is accurate at depth like it is now.

I would like sunray to make a probe for the AT Pro. I would like Garrett to make the AT Pro go deeper.

In regards to the CTX, I don't need the waterproofing, the wireless setup, nor the GPS locating system, nor the PC mapping and all that unnecessary stuff comes to hundreds of dollars extra... All I want or need is a stripped down version of the CTX, not all the bells and whistles.

One that is light in weight, beep & dig, and one that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Like :tesoro:
