What detector would be a good sidekick for the Compadre?

Being the Compadre is the first detector I have I was wondering what you would suggest I get in the future to compliment the Compadre? I'm open to any quality brand, but I must say I do like the ding and dig units as the metered LCD units dont appeal to be. So Tesoro would be my first choice as I do appreciate the Lifetime Warranty too. I like simple, but would appreciate the flexibilty of being able to adjust everything, like ground balance, on my next unit. I love the simplicty of the Compadre, but I have another side to me that would like to fine tune and get optimum performance. I don't think I'd want to go much higher than $500, but the Lobo unit just under $700 is appealing. I'd probably like a machine that would sniff out gold better, but would do deeper in coins as well. What brand or model would you suggest that would cover what the Compadre comes up short on? Thanks:)

Another Compared with the 8 or 5.75 coil (whichever you don't already have) or the 3 coil Outlaw package gets my vote.
The LST or Tejon would be great choices too.
I limited my suggestions to Tesoros as this is, after all, the Tesoro forum.
As you mentioned, the lifetime warranty is hard to beat. Just remember to get your Tesoro from an authorized dealer, send in your warranty card and save your receipt, as the limited lifetime warranty applies only to the original owner. That's not to say you'd have problems with a used unit or with Tesoro customer service, as the units and Tesoro customer service are first-rate.
Guys and gals here on the forum are always available for advice and suggestions too.

I would throw the Vaquero out there for consideration. I've had both the Tejon and the Vaquero, and I have to say, I think the Vaquero is a more all-purpose machine. The Tejon is a great machine though so you wouldn't go wrong with it. It does have the advantage of trigger pinpointing and adjustable tone, but is heavier due to the 8 AA batteries as opposed to a 9V. Either machine is a winning proposition!

What do you metal detect for and where?

Do you detect fields, yards, schools, atheltic fields, beaches?....hunting relics, coins, gold ?

Make a difference.

Funny this topic came up because I was in this same situation with my Compadre and went with the Silver Sabre II.
