what depth can i expect with sunray 5" coil on my ex 2

5 inch coil = 5 inches approx max depth on an average sized coin.
8 inch coil = 8 inches approx max depth on an average sized coin.
10 inch coil = 10 inches max depth on an average coin. This is in ground depth by the way.
This is a what i once read in a treasure hunting mag , to me it sounds pretty accurate but if anyone can disprove this theory then please let your expert opinions be heard here. I would bet this is a pretty accurate rule of thumb though as it mirrors the kinds of depths i can get on my 5inch 8inch and 10.5 coils in low mineralized soils. In more highly mineralised soils you can cut these depths down by about 60 to 70% or so!. We need cody here now to give his expert opinion on what i have just posted. I have been looking at the electro magnetic fields of certain coils on some data books and from what i see nothing much in the way of an electromagnetic field is sent out beyond coil diameter in relation to the field depth.
