What could be next......After the AT PRO ?

Terry in PA

What I would like to see coming next from Garrett is a top end detector. With everything the AT PRO has but with some features from the GTI 2500.
1: Imaging but only in pinpoint mode so it would not slow the detector response time down.
2: Scan Track I always thought that was a great feature that no other detector has. Scan as fast as you want with out loss of target response.
3:pinpoint with true depth no matter how big the target is. Another great feature no other detector has.
And last The things that would be good on the detector. Cam locks on the lower shaft and a pinpoint trigger under the housing witch can be switched between disc and all metal also.

How about an AT Pro 150 ?

Standard headfone jack OR at least supplied with adapter for your own fones.

Not water resistant

DO NOT include anymore headfones !.

Rod locks

No bell tone in ANY mode.

Terry, Has some great points. I would just love to see any detector on the market which could discrimate those pesky pull tabs and still pick up a 10K ring.

how about a robotic arm for the atpro so we don't have to dig to china to retrieve objects lol

Heheheh..... a tiny backhoe mounted at the top of the coil

I think a new top end may be on the way by Spring based on the GTI format. I can't believe they would stop the line with just the 350 and AT and no top end machine.

Bill.

What if they go one better and come out with a world shaking innovation? Old Charlie has many a trick up his sleeve and I'm sure Brent hasn't used up all his magic.. HA.

WHAT??? No bell tone. I really like the bell tone.:cheekkiss:

Hey Ron, (fellow CI user :buds:)

Never liked it, ever! Seems to get in the way of serious tecting imo. Okay, I will rephrase my request.... Have the ability to turn the Bell Tone OFF.

Sounds even MORE annoying with MY Med El CI.

Tony

I second that ! If they cross the AT Pro with the 2500 ....

I am also ready to place my order!!

Are you listening .....Garrett !!

I bet Garrett will make a machine that has a meter/grip like the Grand Master Hunter which blends into an AT PRO style armrest and pole assembly. GTI imaging, and perhaps dual frequency ( I doubt it though) plus everything being run on four double A batteries. Making the GTI series lighter is a logical step for Garrett. Since they are being nostalgic by using the name AT ( like the old AT wader) I am very confident that we will see a return of the Grand Master Hunter series with the features of the GTI series.

Hi Leslie, is the Freedom 3 Plus the same as the Ace Freedom Plus? I have a Garretts Freedom Ace, has to controls #1 on/off sin. #2 Dis. that is all it has. Works good i think,i only had it out once. I got it in a trade, and just have not used it. Are they good detectors? I see you like them, i though you might know about them. Thanks Dean & Merry Christmas

The GMH had a natural balance even without the armrest that I am going to miss. The At Pro seems a bit front heavy to me but I have no doubt that will go away after some time swinging it.

Garrett will lower the AT Pro freq and call their next one a coin machine. They will leave the iron descrim because coin hunters can use that. They will have ground balance tracking. They will put ring locks to tighten the lower shaft and make the arm rest a couple inches longer. They may even suprise us like the did with the AT Pro. One must wonder what ML and FT could come up with.

Well from what Vaughan Garrett said in a recent radio interview....concerning their Imaging technology being improved upon..."you just wait and see".

I have also heard rumors of a dual freq machine perhaps in the same new Imaging detector coming whenever.

That and also I'm waiting for an update to the Infinium and Scorpion for prospecting....!

Look at the progress of Garrett's latest releases....low end to high end: Propointer, Ace 350, At pro...next another mid range machine or top end is next? Or one of their specialty machines being updated?

A new Grand Master Hunter would be interesting but no holding my breath on that one.

Alan

I think that would be called an ACE 350...
