What coin is this?

I find a lot of foreign coins while detecting. Can anyone help with identification? I think this is a French frank (old money):

This coin looks like some kind of chinese coin but it has two numbers on it "100" and "50".

What you have there is a bi- metalic 10 Franc, which is a modern French coin and a 100 Yen from Japan. Is that the Platypus coil on your quattro? At first I thought it was the Joey which is what i use but at second glance it looks bigger than the Joey.

I think it is the "Joey" it has 250 mm "explorer" written on it. When I purchased the detector (new), I found the coil that came with a bit heavy and the balance not quite right. None of those light weight Terra's were available in those days.
The only detecting problem I have is when there are multiple coins in the same hole. Fifteen dollars and some change is my record for one hole, it seems that if someone loses one coin they are likely to lose a lot of coins. The target number can be inaccurate in the multiple coin scenario but I find the sound signal more reliable.
Thanks for the coin id John.
