what coil for river foreshore

hi I'm in London and will be going on the Thames foreshore soon as i get my permit. and what coil will be best down there for my 305 and settings Manny thanks new to this site
 
Hi Terry,

My understanding from having perused some UK web sites is that some of the areas along the river are filthy with rotting iron. If that's where you are headed, then any coil you use you are going to have to move slowly to try to get a peek in between the iron. There is no better iron peeker than the 6 inch HF DD coil.

Yes,

The Pinpointing is a function of the detector with any coil. With a DD the size of the 6 inch HF just X-ing the target @ 90 deg with short sweeps is really all you need. Putting the detector in Pinpoint mode will probably just slow you down.
