Hi everybody,
i am new in his world, and i can't guess what this metal is.
help me please!
i found it close to a medieval castle, but this place was also famous for one napoleonical battle, and civil war.
the depth was more o r less like 15cm.
the material i think is iron or bronze.
thanks everybody!!
spain.

What did your detector say it was. Low tone, iron range? Bronze would be higher pitch and near a copper indication. What machine are you using?

Honestly, it looks like a piece of tron. What, I cannot say. If it is iron it is not worth much. In fact it is not worth much unless it is either silver or gold. Shapeless metal does not have much interest if you cannot tell what it was or how old it is.

Do you have a magnet? That would be my second way to determine if it is iron. However if it is all rust it may not be very magnetic.

Your site sounds interesting but there is a lot of garbage to be found everywhere even in places with a lot of history.

Iron pot, more likely. There does look like some structure to the object in the first picture, but what I cannot tell. Iron was made into everything for a very long time.
