What can i use to protect the Sovereign coil cable from cracking

303 protectant or silicone spray. More problems if the coil cable has been I salt water then stored. Otherwise just dirt digging or dry sanding its not as likely to happen.

Dew gives good advice, but if you have a cord that is already splitting there's nothing that will help. These Minelab coils with bad cords will only get worse, hopefully you don't have one of these.HH Ron

If its split.... the best way to stop it is cut completely around the casing top and bottom of the bad section to stop it. Then aquaseal the wires area and use epoxy tape on it. Even then im not sure id get it in the water.
