If this place amazes you then consider how I feel. My wife wanted to catch up with my daughter who lives about 10 mins from the Bottomless Pit, say no more but 3 hours later 42 coins and 9 of those were silvers.

You can talk Terry. I get to detect most days though and have some great spots on the go all the time. As for this place it just doesn't make any sense to anyone especially me.
So, this spot must have been a market or something near water? I have a spot near water that really produced well. I pulled 20 something silver rings in a few months, and, unfortunately, endless clad. That spot really helped me to learn the E-Trac. But it's nothing like your spot, I found only 4 silver coins there but Germany is not great for silver coins - doesn't appear to have been many in circulation from my coin book.
Enjoy your spot. And grid it! Kind of fun to try to pull coins from spots that you already "cleaned out".
These settings are pretty much my standard and you will find them here. I think Audio response long is the key http://coinrelicdownunder.wordpress.com/2011/10/20/etrac-hunting-in-trash-area/
