What batteries work best for your Tejon?

Which batteries work well with the Tejon? I have heard that they can be finicky. Mine came with Panasonic oxyrides, but cannot find them in the stores around here. Will the energizer and duracell due fine? Thanks
 
No Tejon here, but my Cortes does well on fresh, name brand alkaline, some people use el-cheapo batteries for some reason. I figure as good on batteries as the Tesoro lineup is, why skimp? I use it around 10 - 15 hours a week and they last around 3 or 4 months I think (I forget the last time I replaced them). I replaced them today for $5.60. jus my 2 pennies.
 
I have only used copper tops so far. No problems to report that I have observed.

OK. this sounds good and makes me feel more at ease. I will get the best I can find, but have a couple of organized relic hunts this year and did not need to find out then that I don't have the right equipment. I have never done these organized hunts before and want to be prepared. Thanks again everyone!
