What are your weirdest finds?

Stringfrenzy's unusual find (See "12/31 The final cut...new years eve hunt...") got me started thinking about weird finds I had made over the years. We're always showing each other our best finds. Let's talk about some of our weirder finds. Pics too if you got 'em. I don't have pics yet of mine, but my two weirdest are an easy choice for me. What makes them weird is the context in which they were found.

First, I found a 1835 Half Penny Token from Nova Scotia - in my hometown in the Texas panhandle. The town wasn't even established until 1890!

Second, I found a fired case from a M203 grenade launcher in a middle of nowhere coal-mining ghost town in the New Mexican desert.

I'll try to provide pictures soon.

OK, there's mine - let's hear about yours.

I don't know about weirdest, but here is the grossest, lol I still laugh about this one.... fast forward to 5mins and 56 secs...it seems this dog was starvin to death....

Curiosity was about to kill the kid who was following us and he investigated, I guess the dog ate his way to freedom.. A buckle from a collar was in the ........!

Those do sound like some odd finds for sure. As you've stated I think we know what my wierdest or strangest find probably is and where to find it. Good thread...I'ms ure therewill be many interesting replies.

found this weighted die on an old farm site. it's smaller than the avg. die.
gotta wonder if the cheater was ever caught and buried nearby..

attached was a purple bikini top .

Part of a false tooth plate (wasn't all gross--there was a little gold in it)!-----Then there was the 1914-D counterfeit Lincoln that I found in an old public park at about 4 or 5 inches deep.--------Del

This was the first year of detecting for me, it was 1973 in a old park others considered worked out. I got a nice reading on my Whites Coinmaster 3 that was a little big and decided to see what it was. I found a metal box that look like a old box they had money in and seen it had some weight to it and thought I hit it big, but when I pried it open I seen something wrapped in a white cloth and as I unwrapped it i found feathers and some bones as I wrapped it back up and reburied it as it was someones dead parakeet they buried in the park.
I hope I dont find another like that.

I got two or maybe three...brace yourself.

One is the gold teath. that was just wierd and kinda gross when I picked em up and realized what they were. yech!
Two and three are the sex toys...yes the dectector picked up the metal batteries and workings inside and I uncoverd them from there hiding place...with some other unmentionalbes... yech yech! but funny in a guy kinda way!

just thought I would share that Never been able to tell much about that stuff before.

WILD

What did you do with the stuff?

Wierdest of 2011 was probably half of a silver dime, and then I found part of the other missing half.

I think this is weird stuff

I guess it is all a matter of interpretation

Your stuff is some interesting and unusual finds

Where did you find these?

Weird? That is not the first word I think of when I saw Your collection

But then again it said weird and not disgusting and again it is about interpretation

Regards and HH

Really interesting stuff... Loved the video! Maybe I should have titled this Weird and Interesting Finds.

I found these in an old barn in the country. German family originally owned the property.

I didn't say I agreed with their philosophy of life...its a part of history... there was good things that were created and a lot of bad things. We cant change it.....just learn from it.

Never Believed You Agreed with That Era

As You said, We need to Learn from History so we don't have to repeat it

I thought your Finds were really interesting and NOT weird, even cool but NOT WEIRD

I meant no Harm
