What are these thingys?

The round one should have another point on it & was used as a decoration on leather. The other I have no idea.

It does have another point on it - its bent underneath and you can see it in the 2nd pic.

Could the longer one be a small handle (eg from a draw or small carrying case). It seems from the photo that there is a mark on the bottom "ends" which could indicate it was attached to something at those points.

Some questions that need to be asked.......
1) What is the history behind "the field"?
2) Has there been any in Indian, civil war, gold mining or other ore mining activity there in the past?
3) Has there been any horse or other animal corals/pens/rodeo or stadium or other structures and activity there in the past?
4) The metal on the handle looks like cast iron/metal? but the round item with the bendable lugs is brass?
5) Do you know who the owner of the field is? and maybe you can ask him/her what they might think they are? They might be the best resource you have to identify what these items are.
You might want to post on the Whatzit forum that's dedicated to I.D-ing items found.
P.s. my best guess is the round thing with bendable lugs is horse leather decoration related and the other is some kind of handle for perhaps a piece of furniture that might have rotted away years ago? Those decorations on the handle seem to be an Indian style? Good luck!

The rectangle one looks like a belt keeper that is missing its loop. Agree with Bula on the round piece....leather ornament.

I found the exact same item in a civil war site , it is like a belt loop and I have seen a lot of pictures of this item and what its for ????vanzutphen
