WHAT are these markings??? SILVER RING....

Hi again,

I found a silver ring on the beach today. It has the 925 (silver) stamped in it. But it also has two other stamps in it which I do not understand.

Before the 925, is a stamp that looks like a 56 with the bottom of the 5 worn off.
After the 925 is a stamp that looks like a SYK, and again the top of the Y is worn.

The three stamps look like they were done individually because they are slightly crooked from one to the other.

Can anyone shed a little light on the subject.
Thank you.

Those type of marks are manufacturer and control marks. (We purchase and confirm metals at work and see a lot of variations of these.) Gotta love findin' silver!

Here is a pic of the ring. Im not sure if it is new or maybe have a little age to it.

Can anyone tell from this picture ???

Thanks
