Today I went to a park I hit last week and dug the matching ear ring to one I got then. They sure looked like silver but I tested them and no dice. Got a bunch of coins and 2 cars today, steve in so az

I'd say the odds are pretty steep


The first month I started MD'ing (with a BH QDII) I found one earring at the high tide mark in one area. About 200' away, I found the identical missing piece of the pair. Weird. Too bad they were'n't gold or silver

Never seen platinum so don't know how shiny that is. Congrats on the matching pair. I once found 2 matching earrings...both were just under the surface in a playground still attached to the card they were bought - or stolen - from in the store.
