what are the main difference between the explore xs and the new explore 2...is it worth to upgrade

is there any real edge you get if u upgrade from the explore xs to the newest version, beside a fance carbon shaft..
 
Keno, the Explorer 2 and Explorer XS differences are described in the Minelab link below. The 3 things that seem significant to me are:
1. Faster response time on target ID through new software
2. Dual Numeric Display showing Ferrous & Conductive 2-number system (vs single conductive number display on digital readout of Explorer XS)
3. Improved 10.5" DD widescan search coil - slightly better depth
The total comparison is in the 2nd table of the link below. A lot of the comparisons are fluff to get you to buy the E2.
If I were you I would invest in a X-1 probe before I upgraded to the E2.
