That you find 2 silver coins on 2 consecutive trips and they are the same dates. The Barber dime is a 1909-O, the O is the only difference. The Merc is a 1920, same as last time. Also found a silver ring and 2 IHs (1900,1905). I also found 12 wheats, teens and 20s.

I was hunting a large hayfield that was a carnival grounds in the 20s and 30s. I was using my 3D w/10.5" coil. I definitely got more coins from iffy signals this time than any other. Most coins were in the 5-8" range. I dug my deepest coins today at 8". The Sunray FZ-1 probe was a big help today. Many coins were on edge and it helped me find them around the edges of the hole. The Barber was straight up and down and was 2" off of the hole I dug. Might not have found it without the probe.

Unfortunately, it looks as though it will be a while before I can get out again. Our weather is taking a bitter turn for the worse, doing it's typical February cold snap. Oh well, March will be here soon.

Nice finds and depending how the coin in laying in the ground just might not be dead center in the hole. Indeed in this case the probe done its job and whatever works...
