I use the Killer Bees for my Vaquero and think they are the best. They have a high tone which i like.
I have the V extended to the maximum length and the cord is plenty long.

Hi Gunnar,

I got a set of Whites headphones with one of the MDs I purchased second hand off EBay. They sound muffled, kind of like listening through a door to a conversation. I just couldn't hear what was going on.

I got the basic Killer Bs with only one volume control. Even the basic set has a wonderful clear response. It only cost $72. No tax & No shipping. It cost more than that for a set of Radio Shack"s cheapest wireless headphones, and you get so much more. I know because I wasted my money on a set.

They make them with a 9' coiled cord. It is the best cord I've used, period. It is just the right length so that you hunt without it being in the way, and it is still long enough that you can set it down and have plenty of slack to move around and dig your target without pulling on your headphones.

They have high quality construction and a limited life time warranty. I don't know why I waited so long to get a pair. It's one of the best investments I've made.

Mary Christmas and happy New Year,

Ayup, Killer Bees

best all around HP's, nice tones. Beach hunting I use Gray Ghost or Rats, lower base tones plus almost cutts out all back ground noise.

"So the Killer B has a somewhat higher tonal pitch compared the the Rats?"

Ayep they sure do, the Rats are in my opinion lower pitched in tone and also are better at blocking out back ground noise. I use the Killer Bees

in parks, school grounds and spots I really wish to hear some of whats going on around me, The Rat's or Gray Ghost at the beach or open fields where I don't worry too much about some one sneaking up on me:starwars:

I'm almost tempting to try a set of stereo headphones just for kicks to see (hear) what's it's like.
I have the Bose OE Tri-Ports, Sennheiser Pro's, and this x-mas I got the awesome Grado RS-1
Kind of afraid to use them outdoors for detecting but it's tempting. The Rats and Sunray Gold Pro been fine.
If something ever happen to my new Grado RS-1,,well I guess detecting headphones are built or outdoors.

I read someplace that the Sunray gold headphones are basicly the same as Killerbees but a little fancier.
Correct me if I am wrong.
