what are cellar holes and cans of slaw please?

 Cellar holes are the remains of old house foundations, usually stacked rock from the old days.

Can slaw is cans usually alluminum that have been run over with a lawn mower.
The pieces of the can that are thrown everywhere!

You finally asked the question i have been wondering about for the past 2 years. Why were some many relic/coin hunters finding cans of slaw since i had never found the first one? now i know. Thanks

so would a piece of tore up mountain dew can about 8" down be considered slaw?

Yep,they have been up to 12" deep in filled areas.
The elusive can slaw.Sounds like a quarter sometimes.
Those guys that mow the parks just mulch them up.
