Christians....and metal detecting....I love it!
I've only been swinging my coil for a month (and have been graced with finding enough jewelry to pay for it) and I'm having a blast! More importantly, my young teen son loves to come with me. I'm a 100% disabled veteran (knees) so we joke about how we make a great team, I'm the "finder" and he's the "digger"!
Is there anyone out there in the Colorado area (specifically Fort Collins) or familiar with it enough to direct a newbie to decent hunting grounds. I'm not asking for rivers flowing with gold (my treasures are already "stored up" in the right place!), but I would like to find some beginner, productive areas. I keep reading people's comments on forums about how Colorado is a great area to swing a coil. I've found one ghost town, but because of the sharp decline into the ravine and two mile hike to it, my knees are all but shot just getting there.
I don't mean to be a nuisance, and I apologize if I've come off as one. Just looking for some friendly advice.
Good day,
Ken
