I don't want to send her back knowing that I won't be able to detect for another couple of weeks but I have to. I've been having issues with strong signals often disappearing after the hole has been dug and such, my 17" coil cannot even be used without turning the sensitivity way down either.

It will be worth the wait. Mine did the same thing and the disappearing signal stopped on mine when they sent it back. It is like a completely different machine. Mine was also gone for less than two weeks too. If you are in Daytona, I could just come up there and hunt your spots for you if your want.
