What adventures are you planning for '10?

Well I'm sitting here in the house because it's raining, ruining another free day that I could've used for detecting! Anyway, as I look ahead I've got a beach trip planned, one or more prospecting trips, a couple cache sites to hit, and I'm also working on getting more access to places that should hold older goodies. Along the way I'll be hitting the normal tot lots, swim beaches, etc. wherever I can squeeze in time between work and work!

So what do YOU have planned?

Going camping and floating the river with my wife and four year old daughter. And of course getting access to more old home sites.

i plan to get permission for lots more old house sites, and hope to find atleast one first this year. hopefully a seated coin or a gold ring. either one i'd love to find!

weston

California, to hunt the outskirts of Bodie.

Arizona hopefully find gold this yr. GPAA show at AZ state fair grounds 13th and 14th of Feb.Girlfriend not happy about the dates of the show. I drove to Stanton last yr got there as they were packing up to leave. 1700+ miles one way from Evansville, In. Long trip no gold but met a lot of nice people and got to see a lot of raw gold. The country is really pretty out that way. Plan to go out on Rich Hill while I'm out there. Arizona Bound!!!!! Gary

I am going to the Chisholm Trail hunt, possibly the Diggin' In Dixie Hunt, just been accepted to the DIV XIII, and still looking for that stagecoach stop in Greenwood TX.

Have permission to hunt several sites in Northern NY state -- a late 1800's school site (found an 1857 Flying Eagle there last fall) an early 1800's homestead, an 1920's home site, and three huge gardens on an 1880's farm, plus the barn area. Also spent some time on Goggle earth, found three old house foundations that are now city property, found an access road to the Old Erie Barge Canal and have the OK to hunt on my employers land which is directly between the Mohawk River what was once the canal. Also got permission to hunt a 50 acre site in Cooperstown NY, not far from the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Am really looking forward to using my new X-Terra and the nicer weather!

I hope to make my mind up on a PI or a VLF machine. Down to the new Gold Bug, the MXT, the GMZ or GMT, or the Xterra 705. I can't make my mind up. Every unit seems to have its benfits. From what I can read PI maybe the way to go. Having said all that, once my mind is made up, I plan on taking said machine onto my placer claim on the Fraser River to do some sniping! I can't wait, just need it to thaw out some first:clapping:

The Fraser in Colorado? I've been there...didn't prospect though. Considering the list of detectors you mentioned for gold, I'm wondering why not the Lobo ST? I've considered that detector if I decided to buy a specialized VLF for gold. If I could find a Diablo uMax though, I'd definitely snatch that up! I have a weakness for Tesoro detectors and am currently scheming on picking up a Tigershark, and later a Bandido or Eldorado. However, I bought my 705 so that I wouldn't need a bunch of specialized detectors! LOL.. On the subject of PI, I've been eyeballing an Infinium in that category. All it takes is money!
