What a Week! SurfGods Blessed Me Today With 3 More Diamond Rings, 1 Returned, and a Lost Ring Returned Story

Hit the beach again today at 10am for another try at this good luck streak. I was not disappointed. I walked from 32nd St to the Pier and on the way, I was approached by a man who asked the big one "Is that a metal detector?" I told him "10-4". He said that his wife had dropped a 1/2 carat platinum diamond solitaire in the dry sand and asked if I could please look for it. Off I went. He, his wife, his mother & father-in-law had been looking for 1 hour. It took me all of 18 seconds and it was in the scoop. I was to be rewarded, not by them, but by the Va Beach SurfGods for doing them a good deed.

I left them after getting a big hug and a THANKS and headed back toward my truck from 18th Street. First, I found 2 steel hoop earrings. Then, a set of surfer beads. Then hit a nice looking .925 earring. Then, found a neat silver Mom's bracelet that had little baby shoes on it. It gets better.

I then got a signal and scooped up a cute silver pinkie ring. Then, a neat looking silver snake ring. I was getting tired of stopping & digging. Things got quiet for a few blocks then I found this nice 14k gold ring, shaped in a "V" with 13 diamonds. Wow. Another diamond ring this week? Content that was going to be my find of the day, I took off again and about 100 yards up the beach got another signal. This one took 2 scoops to get up. I could not believe when I looked in the scoop. 14k, yellow gold with 21 diamonds!

As they say, It Just Don't Get Any Better Than This!!

Happy Hunting!!

Any time you find an odd shaped ring, like the one you are referring to as "V" shaped, it could be just one piece of a 2 piece bridal set. I was in the jewelry business many years ago and a lot of 2 piece bridal sets have an odd shaped band that fits next to the engagement ring. It appears that you have found the band and I'm guessing that the LARGER diamond engagement ring is out there as well. If you think about it, the band sits on the finger closer to the nail (or finger tip) and the engagement ring is closer to the knuckle. I would hunt that area extra hard and see if I could find its mate! Good luck. therick

Ron, you're on fire buddy. I didn't think my find would be yesterday's news that quick, but it looks like it is. Good job man...congrats.

Now remember...the solitaire is MINE! :nono:

Well, "The Professor" certainly has had his share of meetings with "Pepe Le Pew" in the past. But I FEEL lucky, so we'll see. Bottom line is, it's ALL good and if I "swing and miss" today, I know a hit is coming tomorrow. Good luck out there brother!
