I was planning to go detecting but woke up to high winds and 23 degrees.
Just too cold.... so while I'm being bummed out about the weather the phone rings and It's the horse farm I work for.
They tell me because it has been a horrible winter they've had to spend twice as much as normal on hay and feed and since I've just about finished the barn they have insufficient funds to keep me on.
SO....... I'm unemployed again. SHIT
and my wifes temporary job came to an end 4 weeks ago.
DOUBLE SHIT

even thou I'm totally pissed I still have a little humor left... for now...

next christmas I'm going to be so poor I'll hope for a hole in my pants pocket just so I have something to play with.

when we lived in Oregon I was corporate manager in charge of maintenance and construction for a large resort company. I built luxury beach front hotels and restaurants.
No call for that here in Missery........ plus I can't physically do the things I did when I was younger so construction jobs such as a framer are out..... the barn just about killed me but it wasn't the whole job. I was working with the horses as well.

The big problem in this area is there are no decent jobs to begin with so you have to apply for any crap thing that comes along,,, and 300 other people are applying for the same job. ..... bad odds.... for a lousy 7 or 8 bucks an hour.

Missouri is a good place to live except for employment.
I never would have moved here but this move was for my wife.
She wanted to be close to her aging mother who is needing help.
I believe its important to support family.

employee and quickly grow into a management position / possible ownership in a well run hardware / home center / lumber building materials store ... small independent chain ... big box store.

A hard worker who works smart with a sense of humor is always valued when dealing with the public.
