Did a lot of dirt digging today, with some great results.

Here's the Rudolf Valentino Token. It was to see a performance, the "Eagle" at the Empress Theater In Edmonton. It was built in 1912, and burned down in 1961. That makes it even more valuable.

Did dig up a little horse tac. It's quite rusted.....

Found a couple of intact pop bottles. The Coke bottle was made in 1950. The Canada Dry Ginger-ale clear white bottle is a first for me. They were always a green color. I'll have to research that one some more.

Got some nice coinage. A couple of silver and a large cent along with some pennies from the 40's and 50's.

Dug up some old lead ammo and a silver ring. There were a couple pieces of petrified would lying around, so I cleaned them and covered them with a layer of mineral oil, which brings out the nice colored matrix of the grain.

And it's back to work on Saturday..... :(
 
I like how you show your finds. It makes it fun. I like your last one. I have a cure for that. Do what I just done one week ago. RETIRE.. Now, I can play a lot ... KEN from Ind.
 
Mr. John, you always find a wonderful assortment of goodies when you are out hunting. Congrats on the Rudolf Valentino token. It is always nice to find items of this nature and even nicer when we can trace it back to some historical event right in the area we live in. I am starting a new job where I will be working Saturday's. At least I will now be able to keep my sanity from the job I am losing it in now. :drinking:
