Gave the search for the missing platinum band another go this evening after work. I arrived at low tide and headed right for the deep stuff and started swinging, surf was still pretty rough but not as bad as last night. My second target was a pretty little ring with mother of pearl inlay. I made one quick pass at chest depth and then I remembered that I wanted to hunt the shallows, just in case I'd missed the platinum band in that area. The sand was a little spongey in some areas, never a good sign, but I stuck too it. I ran silent again and got some strong hits which all came up as trash, now I remember why I don't hunt the shallows. I covered the designated area and found ZIP, NADA and NOTHING, except for the trash. With the tide coming back in I returned to deeper water but it was too late in the tide to find anything more than a couple of dimes, so I packed it in.
I did run into three little hellions around 8 years old, who made me laugh.
1st hellion - Is that a pooper scooper?
2nd hellion - NO!, he's going to clean the garbage out of the water.
3rd hellion - He's hunting for treasure!
BDA - Correct Answer! You are the Winner!
3rd hellion - See, I win again!
(technically speaking, hellion #2 was closer to the truth tonight)
On the way out I passed a sign at the main entrance to Horseshoe Bay which I sometimes use as an exit because it has public showers to rinse off my gear.

The ring is junk but my Princess thinks it's fun so she's claimed it.
Women - Go Figure??

Cheers All and Happy Independece Day,

Dandy, just dandy. I want you to find the ring. We should run a "Platinum Ring Pool," for when you find it. I say July 11th.

On both hunts I was up to my chin, a lot of the time. The sign should have been posted yesterday at all entrances but that's the way it is here in Bermudaville.

Cheers Joe,

It's been a week and a half since the platinum ring was lost and we've had some serious sand movement. Will it turn up, most probably. When would be anybody's guess. Perhaps the Guvner would like to use the date of the find for the next contest.;)

Cheers Mate,
