I want to start by saying that all my hunts are on public land. Mostly public parks. I was at the park I found these coins at (and the rings in my other post) a few months ago and a park worker stops me and says, "Do you know how many people detect out here?" He said to me "you would not belive it" So this makes the story even better. So I go to the park and start detecting. I was really concentrating on the targets that I thought would be deeper older coins. There really was not a whole lot of clad where I was hunting. To make a long story short. I was able to get a dime slam or whatever you call it.....and also a nickel slam. I also got this token from 1910. Notice the swastica on it? Kind of weird. Found several wheat pennies and some clad too but did not take a picture of them.

The swastica was not associated with bad or evil until world war two. When the token was made it had a completely different meaning.

Nice finds.

Nice hunt. Ive been trying the same strategy at a heavily hunted park. Dig 8 inches or deeper readings above 80. Using the 75ltd have been getting wheatbacks and silver dimes that way. I heard that same story Jerry mentioned re the swastika. Keep up the good finds, CO

Looks like you found the right detector Bill .................So glad it is working perfectly for you...

Alot of nice find's there. Thanks for posting them. HH-CC

Boy, you sure had a good day indeed!!!
3 different nickels and 3 different dimes in the same hunt.... it's hard to tell what else is in that park.
I have a similar park that I spent alot of time in last year and it has also been hunted hard in the past, but I made some nice finds in there after getting all the surface coins and trash out.
Keep at it and you'll continue to be surprised at what has been left behind...check out some of those iffy signals too as I found many coins giving iffy signals and when dug found iron in the hole with them.. that is why they are still there.
Good luck,
Felix

Thank you for the idea of only searching deep stuff in worked areas. Makes a lot of sense.

Very nice finds. That token is sweet pre nazi swazi. It was commonly used before the nazi did and not used much now unless by wannabe nazi types. Really cool symbol ruined by war.

Woe, did you get into the dirt bank too-day nice finds
