What a blessed day it was yesterday (pics of those finds too)

Sometimes it is so hard to know where to start when God has blessed one so much and I'm just talking one day - July 4th. 2005.

As I posted earlier yesterday I'd have the pics of the finds I got yesterday morning so here they are:

"The Most Valuable Coin An Individual Will Ever Own"

Front <p align=center><img src="http://coinshooter.owly.net/070405/ValuableCoin3.jpg"></p></center>

Back <p align=center><img src="http://coinshooter.owly.net/070405/ValuableCoin4.jpg"></p></center>
What a treasure this coin is! Thank you Father God! Thank you Lord Jesus!.

The 10K Gold Dollar Sign Ring (BTW what is "BOGO" besides Buy One Get One?)
<p align=center><img src="http://coinshooter.owly.net/070405/DollarSignRing.jpg"></p></center>

Side shot of the ring <p align=center><img src="http://coinshooter.owly.net/070405/DollarSignRing2.jpg"></p></center>

Here's the 14K Gold Dolphin ring I almost didn't get because I 'thought' there would be nothing of value in the itty bitty kiddy play area. Man was I wrong.

<p align=center><img src="http://coinshooter.owly.net/070405/GoldDolphin.jpg"></p></center>

Though pretty rusty still a treasure - a cheap Smiley ring:

Another kid's ring (gold and silver colored):

Don't think this is the first Kennedy Half Dollar I've found but is the first this year:

Maybe this person likes his or her name "R.Thies" enough to stamp it into the face of this quarter. Strange though I think I have seen this coin (or one like it before) with the same last name.

Those were some of the many blessings God gave me yesterday morning. We went to some of Sherry's relatives place in St. Clair Shores, around Detroit, MI.
God continued to bless us with a beautiful day:

Guess those who believe in "Mother Nature' would say she fell asleep at the switch because the Mayflies hatched yesterday and it was like a plague of locusts when the wind picked up. We had had our windows open on the van and when the wind picked up the Mayflies decided it was a safe haven inside the van. Which didn't make Casey or Sherry too happy on the way home

<p align=center><img src="http://coinshooter.owly.net/070405/MayFly.jpg"></p></center>

Casey had fun. This is her returning from a short boat ride in the bay of St. Clair Shores.

<p align=center><img src="http://coinshooter.owly.net/070405/BoatTrip.jpg"></p></center>

Casey was also the only one I heard who had caught a fish but ya know - as you can see - this is as close as she wanted to get to the fish she caught. We put it back in the water.

The rain that came in on the way home probably put a damper on many people's 4th - some places sett of their fireworks early to beat the storm.

It was a most fantastic day. Wore my T-shirt that says "One Nation Under God"
showing stars and stripes with the Bible open over the s&s background. Got to talk to some about God and our wonderful family here. One of the relatives had a metal detector - not a real fancy one - lots of knobs and a meter for "Ferrous/Non-ferrous" and wanted some instruction on how to use it. BTW if my Brothers here in Michigan happen upon a necklace on Lake Michigan beach that has 2 hearts and birthstones in the hearts - one of the relatives lost it. That's why they bought the detector - in hopes of finding it. They didn't so its still out there somewhere.

Sorry this is so long but like I say where does one start or even stop when God blesses one so much? Hope all had a great 4th.

Pete: Way cool. God indeed has blessed you.

Don't apologize about the length of the post, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I am somewhat foundering in my metal detecting. Seems that I can't get
close enough to the targets in grass, and dig up nothing. Maybe the stuff
is deeper than I go (5-6 inches) I have no way of knowing how deep they are.

I did realize one thing tho . . . (this is a dumb thing to do :) when I dig a
chunk of grass up, I would hold it in my left hand, and then wand my detector over
it, and it would sound, and I would find nothing in it. Then I realized, my wedding
ring is on my left hand :) I might as well laugh at myself, its kind of funny !

Later . . .

Ray . . .

recently I had a ring on my right hand Took. it off just so I wouldn't have that problem. Now I have another problem - can't find where I put the ring.

Dug this gold ring a few years back -= looks like your twin. Sure sounds like you all had a rewarding fourth - Steve i nso az

think I need to get a better container for my ring finds - getting crowded in the box.
