I had permission to detect at a churchyard dating from the early 1800's. I found a curious piece that was so corroded and thin there is nothing to read on it. It is just slightly larger than a quarter, about 25-26 mm BUT on my Explorer XS it read and sounds almost identically to a nickel. I tried to find composition for a larger coin/token.medallion that would have a .750 copper/.250 nickel make up but no luck. Any guesses. Sorry I can't post a picture but there's really nothing to see. Thanks and HH.
